President's Corner
SC Youth Soccer has taken a bold step in a positive direction. I’m pleased to announce that after 12 years of renting office space in Columbia, the SC Youth Soccer Board of Directors has determined that it is time to purchase our own office. This purchase was given final approval at a special meeting of the Board of Directors on May 2, 2008.

The new office is located in the “Woodlands at Kennerly” office park, just off I-26 near the intersection of Broad River Road and Kennerly Road in Irmo. This is a perfect location for our office. The only thing missing from the picture is a 100 acre field complex with 16 lighted fields out the back door. I guess we will have to wait a little longer for Phase II.

Office construction is presently underway and we expect to be moving in by early fall. This beautiful new 2500 sq. ft. office is something we can all be proud of as we continue to "chart for the future" growth and development of SC Youth Soccer. Not only will this new office provide us with much needed space, it will allow us to build equity in our own real estate investment, which will save this organization thousand of dollars in wasted rent payments over the next ten years.
