Registrar's Corner
The 2008-09 soccer season is just about upon us! New ventures are also upon us as we start a new registration system by Demosphere. I want to thank all the club registrars and Presidents that took the time to come to Columbia to attend the registrar workshop and to see the online Demosphere presentation. I know that most of you prefer to have these meetings in your district but I wanted to give each of you a chance to meet Carol and Jay Baker, our Demosphere representatives. It is so nice to be able to put a face with the person on the other end of the telephone line. To facilitate the use of this system the SC Youth Soccer Board approved a proposal to absorb the $250 initial set-up fee for any affiliated organization signing with Demosphere for the seasonal year 2008-09 by September 1, 2008. If your club is interested in using this on line system, please contact Carol Baker at 1-800-949-9440 extension 122 now before the time runs out.
The SC Youth Soccer Board of Directors recently approved the utilization of Demosphere as our official on-line registration system beginning with the 2008-2009 seasonal year. - Initial $250 set up fee will be absorbed by SC Youth Soccer for the 2008-2009 seasonal year for all clubs that sign up for SC Youth Soccer online registration with Demosphere by September 1, 2008.
- Sign up for online registration by calling Carol Baker’s at Demosphere, 1-800-949-9400 x122 or cell #1-703-624-6663. Be sure Carol knows it’s “SC Youth Soccer online registration” so you will not be billed for the initial fee.
- Each player registered by the club will be charged a $2.00 fee by Demosphere.
- In addition to the $2.00 player registration fee, clubs allowing families to register players and pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or American Express) will also incur credit card fees for online transactions.
- Parents will have the ability to register a new or returning player, pick the level of play for their child, complete the contact information, volunteer or donate funds to the club, pay on-line without mailing in a form, or bring the paperwork to the Soccer Club Office.
- Clubs may customize their online registration system to track registration, payments, volunteers, team assignments and more. Please plan to discuss your specific needs with Carol Baker.
- For additional fees, you may acquire built-in mass email tools.
