Sportsmanship
Stressed
SC Youth Soccer is preparing to begin the “Spring
Season” for our teams U14 and under. Our registration
numbers remain steady, which is a “good news/bad news”
situation. The good news is that registration numbers are not
diminishing; the bad news is those numbers are not increasing
either. The SC Youth Soccer Board of Directors recently completed
our annual planning meeting, at which time it was recognized
the need to improve our marketing program in an effort to increase
our numbers.

SCYSA Teams with Darkness to Light
Sexual
misconduct is the #1 reason for coach firings in the U.S., resulting
in millions of dollars in lawsuits each year. Darkness to Light
offers Stewards of Children, a comprehensive sexual abuse prevention
training program that educates adults to prevent, recognize,

Get Connected with the Coaches Connection
Whenever
two or more people work together in some activity of common
interest or benefit, working together as a team will be rewarding
and productive. Great teams have joint team goals that are clearly
communicated and understood. Each team member knows his role
and wants to get better at what he does. A great team approaches
problems as a team and all members are asked to help identify
the problems and offer their ideas and opinions on the solutions
to the problems.
