“This year’s ODP camps provided another opportunity for our young players to grow and develop as soccer players and young men and women. I want to wish all the players continued success both on and off the field and I look forward tracking your future successes!” Coach Van Taylor SCYS DOC
“The 1995 team had an excellent region camp experience going 2-1-1 over the week and finishing tied for 3rd in the camp tournament. As well, we had three players selected for the holdover. All together the team and staff had a great time.” Coach Warren Turner ’95 Boys
“As always, the expectation and experience of the region III camp was very high. We want to congratulate the SC-ODP boys for a great week. We are very happy to say that the 94 Boys maintain a high level of competition at the region III soccer camp. The boys won most of their games in great fashion. Lost one and tied on. Individual performance was very high as usual. Because the region III camp is very competitive, the coaching staff and administrator would like to congratulate the boys for all their effort as they are maintaining high level of competitive play during the week except in one game. We are very happy that several of our players made the selected holdover team for region III.” Coach Sam Okpodu ’94 Boys
“We were very pleased with development of the 96 boys who had 8 pool players and 3 region team members in 2010 from our 2 teams. We are very excited about the exposure our players received and they were great ambassadors for South Carolina.” Coach Bert Molinary ’96 Boys
“The 95 girl’s Regional Camp went well. We had two players in the pool most of the week, Tahirih Nesmith and Kallie Peurifoy. The team benefited from some terrific sessions from our Regional staff coach, Kristi Braunston. She identified our need for work on team defense and she ran a great season on zonal defending. The girls learned a lot and we saw immediate improvement in our next match. During two of the evening sessions they did functional training of specific positions. Players were exposed to several different exercises run by different staff. Many of the girls commented that they really enjoyed this and felt they personally learned a lot.” Coach Sue Vodicka ’95 Girls

“Our group is a special one and one to keep an eye on for years to come. The 1996 girls achieved new heights in South Carolina ODP; having 5 girls make the region pool. We also had two girls get invitations to the National ID camp in Portland, Oregon. I had so much fun coaching this group; they are a driven and talented group who enjoy playing the game at the highest level.” Coach Matt Smith ’96 Girls
“The 97 girls had a great week! They worked very hard, the improvement was evident, and they have a lot to be proud of! It was a very good showing! The region coach Garry Buete was very good and the feedback from the region coaches was very positive!” Coach Chris Ayer ’97 Girls
“I am extremely proud of my '93 state team this year. We had a total of 5 girls who were recognized as pool players (Devin Puckett, Alexa Gainey, Caroline Moore, Megan Fish, Kelsey Orvin) with two making the final Region pool (Megan Fish and Kelsey Orvin). It was a great week for South Carolina ODP!” Coach Karrie Miller „93
