The NSCAA Foundation is proud to announce its annual Request For Proposals for grants and scholarships. About the NSCAA Foundation- "The NSCAA Foundation's mission is to provide soccer coaching education opportunities to underserved socioeconomic communities, geographic areas, and ethnic groups throughout the United States. The Foundation firmly believes in the broader societal benefits of soccer as a recreational activity, an avenue for health and fitness, a means of building leadership skills, and a competitive sport. We believe we can provide these benefits through soccer coaching education. The Foundation's primary program activity is direct financial support through grants and through scholarships for coaching education programs." Grants- Annually the NSCAA Foundation conducts a grant application process to award grants to soccer programs and soccer clubs serving targeted, underserved areas and communities. The NSCAA Foundation invites charitable 501(c)3 organizations to submit an application for a grant. Grants are available for soccer organizations interested in hosting non-residential diploma courses for its coaches and who can demonstrate financial need and show that the grant will benefit underserved groups and communities. Please consider the opportunity to take advantage of these benefits for you and your club. Funding for grants is made available through the unrestricted fund, the general endowment, as well as the adidas Fund, Walter Chyzowych Fund, Michael L. Curry Fund, Anson Dorrance Fund, Gooding-Wilmot Fund, and Jerry and Marilyn Yeagley Fund. Grant applications must be postmarked or emailed no later than December 9, 2011. Scholarships- Annually the NSCAA Foundation awards several full and partial scholarships to individuals interested in attending an NSCAA Residential Academy. Individuals must meet several criteria. They must demonstrate that that they coach in targeted, underserved communities and they must demonstrate financial need. Scholarships are funded through special named endowments, which include the adidas Fund, Walter Chyzowych Fund, Michael L.
