Coaches Kicking Hunger

Coaches Kicking Hunger

South Carolina Youth Soccer would like to thank all of our coaches that participated and completed the winter E and D licensing courses that were held in Columbia, Greenville, and Charleston. Eighty-five (85) coaches donated over 235 pounds of food, toiletries and baby products to Harvest Hope. Harvest Hope will use the donated products to fight hunger for those in need across our great state.

The Coaches Kicking Hunger program was started by the South Carolina Youth Soccer Coaching Education Department.  This program is designed to run in conjunction with all South Carolina Youth Soccer Coaching Education Courses.  Its purpose is to fight hunger across the state and to give back to the community beyond the South Carolina Youth soccer membership.  We hope to expand this important program to include both the Publix Presidents Medal Cup and the Publix Bob Brantley Challenge Cup. If your club is interested in participating in the Coaches Kicking Hunger program during a club event then please contact our Director of Coaching, Greg Vallee at gvallee@scysa.org.
