South Carolina State Soccer

The first state tournament of the 2012/13 season is now in the books, as the Fall Festival took place October 13 and 14 in Sumter. Academy and Recreation Teams from across the state came together at Sumter Soccer Club’s Patriot Park to compete for the chance at becoming Fall Festival Champion. Both days from sunrise to sunset featured perfect soccer weather. Representatives from all three SC districts managed to place in the top of at least one division showing that academy and recreation players across the state are all developing their skills at similar rates. Youth soccer in South Carolina made great strides in the 2011/12 hosting a regional and national event and sending three representatives to the National Championships. The Fall Festival showed that we can expect nothing less than continued excellence going forward into this season. The teams that managed to prevail at the Fall Festival were:
