
The South Carolina Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Founded in 1977, SCYS is governed by a Board of Directors that is elected by representatives from our member associations, and maintains a state office in Irmo, SC with a professional staff. Our membership consists of 50+ clubs, and 20,000+ registered players. The purpose of SCYSA is to develop, promote, and administer the game of soccer among players under the age of 19 years old.
The South Carolina Youth Soccer Association is part of a much larger soccer community. SCYSA is a National State Association for the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), and
is a proud member of the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA), and Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).

Your local soccer club is a member of the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA). There are 55 State Associations in the United States: one in each state, and two in California, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
South Carolina Youth Soccer is a member of the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYS). US Youth Soccer is the largest member organization within the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). US Youth Soccer is organized into four Regions; SCYSA is a part of Region III. The four Regions in the United States are pictured below:

★Region IV - West

The USSF is the governing body for soccer in the United States, and is part of the Confederation of North, Central American, and Caribbean Associations of Football (CONCACAF).

CONCACAF is one of six member Confederations of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), which is the world wide governing body for soccer. The six FIFA Confederations are pictured below:
