The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

News - Details

SCYSA has continued to monitor the situation and the following update is the result of announcements that have occured since our last statement.

On March 15, the Governor announced that public schools, state wide, would be closed at least through March 31, 2020.  Several of the public partners of our membership, whose fields we rely upon for our state wide league games, also announced the closure of their fields for varying lengths of time.  Accordingly, with respect to state wide soccer league activity-- Challenge League, President's Medal League, Open League and Jim Hudson League -- SCYSA will suspend play, at least until March 31, 2020.

Post season play will be determined by the SCYSA Cups Committee recommendations in the near future after Board approval as our association evaluates the changing environment in our state. Our current post season event schedule is subject to change in both time and location as deemed necessary.

Understand that this is a fluid situation, fraught with uncertainty.  Several of our member clubs have already suspended their operations in light of this situation. In the interest of ensuring the health and safety of our soccer community, as well as that of the community at-large, we recommend that members review their own programming schedule and assess the risks and benefits of postponement and/or cancellation of any upcoming events or operations in general.

SCYSA is aware that many people are  concerned with the COVID-19 virus and the ramifications with school, activities, financial stress and certainty, and most importantly your family's health and well-being.  Detailed information about the COVID-19 virus is available at The phone number for the Centers for Disease Control is 1-800-232-4636.

SCYSA will continue to monitor the situation and provide periodic updates.
